WCPL – Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2026
The fourth edition of the WPCL – Women’s Caribbean Premier League will take place from September 05 – 17, 2026. Kensington Oval, Barbados, will host all matches. The Limacol WCPL 2026 T20 league features four teams – Barbados Royals Women, Trinbago Knight Riders Women, Guyana Amazon Warriors, and Jamaica Empress Women.
Two structural changes define this season. First, Jamaica Empress joins as a new franchise, aligned with the men’s Jamaica Kingsmen side that also returns to the Caribbean Premier League this year after the previous Jamaica Tallawahs franchise ceased operations in 2023. Second, Barbados Royals have been rebranded as Barbados Tridents, mirroring an identical rename on the men’s side.
With four teams instead of three, Cricket West Indies has also revised the tournament structure. Each side now plays every other team once in a round-robin group stage — six matches in total — before a playoff stage and final decide the champion. This replaces the double round-robin format used when only three teams competed.
